Dr. Bijesh Mishra is an applied economist specializing in the agriculture–energy–environment nexus, with a research focus on sustainability, climate change, and policy. He is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar (Economist) at the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy, Georgia Institute of Technology, where his work examines the economic and policy dimensions of technological innovations aimed at reducing global greenhouse gas emissions. Dr. Mishra’s academic trajectory prepared him with a strong foundation in agricultural economics, statistics, forestry, and environmental science, which now underpins his multidisciplinary research in agriculture, energy, environment, forestry, and natural resources. He is also developing interests in developmental and political economics. Methodologically, Dr. Mishra draws on econometrics, causal inference, numerical simulation, geospatial analysis, social surveys, and machine learning in his research.
